It was like a train wrackage - so horrifying and yet, i couldn't peel my eyes away from it. 6-3, not a scoreline I would have predicted at all. I make no excuses - Rafa put up a shit side against the young guns of Arsenal, he served us up on a platter and all but asked them to wipe the floor with us. Peltier is a useless lump of lard - the defence was crap and EVEN SOMEONE WITH HALF A BRAIN WOULD NOT PUT JERZEY DUDEK IN THE GOAL. While he saved the penalty, he just stood by watching the other SIX goals whizz by his nose.
We were defeated, at home, and what an arse-kicking it was.
One reflection on the match - even when we were down (which we were, the entire night, and for this i will not forgive them), the fans sang. They sang "You Will Never Walk Alone", held up their banners and towels right 'til the very end and even though their heads were in their hands they never left the stage.
This is Anfield, and you will NEVER walk alone here.
Always remember.
