Serenity
Have you ever felt so full
That’s you couldn’t take it?
Your emotions flowing through your veins
Surging up-Engulfing
You totally and you just can’t fake it
To the outside world
I have.
They flow up, up from the very core
Of the earth
Through my blood and soak into my bones
Drenching me, completely
And I just can’t help it
Drowning in a roiling sea
Murky and dark, undeniable choppy-
Never calm, the water’s surface is-
Always rippling
They cause huge waves and these
Crash around me as i
stand there in the sand
The only way to release them is tears-
These big fat drops of coolness
Running down your face
Calming the sea
Soothing the storm
A song, a lullaby to the soul
Singing and finally with the last
Surge, you are left again,
As you were
Your emotions back in place
High tide has receded and now only
Foam licks at my ankles gently
Serenity.
i thought i should quickly post this before i change my mind. i hate showing my poems. like the girl in Lani GArver says "its like standing before you naked while you try to decide if my headlights are pink or brown"
hahahaha funny and yet i cringe. coz thats
exactly how i feel right now.
oh... GO TO HELL.
